Innovate Oklahoma Introduces Oklahoma Mobile ID

A Digital Driver’s License for Oklahoma Citizens is Officially Available on iOS and Android

Oklahoma City, OK, Nov. 1, 2019 – Innovate Oklahoma, the state’s digital transformation program, announced today the availability of the official Oklahoma Mobile ID.

The application, produced by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety (DPS) in cooperation with Oklahoma Office of Management & Enterprise Services (OMES) and Innovate Oklahoma, allows Oklahoma residents with an official state driver’s license or state ID the ability to access it through their smartphone.

Oklahoma Mobile ID builds on the security of the DPS enrollment process while adding extra layers of anti-fraud protection and privacy controls for the user. It is the first and only digital driver’s license that is verified against the state’s DPS system of record.

“We are pleased Oklahoma is part of leading the movement to offer secure, official identification on a smart phone,” said David Ostrowe, Secretary of Digital Transformation and Administration. “Oklahoma Mobile ID provides additional measures to reduce fraud and is a major step to bring technology innovation to Oklahoma citizens in a way that has real-world, immediate benefits”

Oklahoma Mobile ID gives consumers control due to privacy options within the app directing which ID information should be visible. For example, during an alcohol purchase an individual can display their photo and verification that they are over 21 instead of the entire ID.

Businesses and organizations can verify the Oklahoma Mobile ID with confidence as the digital ID will always be accurate and up-to-date from the DPS system of record.

“We are thrilled that Oklahoma is leading the charge in identification digital transformation,” said Matt Thompson, SVP, Civil and Mobile ID, IDEMIA Identity & Security. “Oklahoma Mobile ID puts the individual in control of what ID information is shown and ensures business transactions occur with an up-to-date ID.”

Currently, Oklahoma Mobile ID cannot be used for law enforcement purposes and is not REAL ID compliant. View the Oklahoma REAL ID webpage for more information. To learn more about Oklahoma Mobile ID, please visit
